Hy Local Guides,

I am glad to conduct Pride Month Walk with @SarathUpendran as co-host. We had a beautiful start with having talk about LGBTQ+ community and how to contribute towards LGBTQ+
Friendliness on Google Maps.
We started the meetup by having a Chai at Milma Booth as part of Chai Pe Charcha challenge of @TusharSuradkar. Sarath shared me a beautiful Chai themed fridge magnet.
We also edited Accessibility Features provided by museums & parks nearby with wheelchair accessible bathroom facilities.
We discovered Clock on the entrance of Napier museum (as part of @TusharSuradkar’s Clock tower series) with pride related art work at Kanakakunnu Palace as part of Pride with Local Guides.
We had breakfast at FrenchMaké Caffé with me having triple chocolate and Sarath having strawberrytelle. We got Virgin Mojitos to Beat the heat Challenge of @MathanVibranarayan.
We found out that the cafe is also eco-friendly
with metal spoons & forks to support for Ditch the Plastic Spoons Challenge of @KetanChhaniyara.
Here’s my review for them.
We found the cafe mentioned above has gender neutral bathrooms too and contributed to Google Maps.
We also took a Photo walk to take store front photos of small businesses in addition to editing new businesses to Google Maps.
We ended the meetup with having a drink and snacks & shake hands to conduct Meetups like this in future.

Thank you so much, @Rahul001 and @SarathUpendran, for your inspiring Pride Month Walk recap!
It’s heartening to see how you’ve seamlessly integrated multiple meaningful initiatives into a single meetup.
I truly appreciate your support for the #DitchPlasticSpoons challenge by highlighting FrenchMaké Caffé’s use of eco-friendly metal cutlery. Such efforts not only promote sustainability but also set a commendable example for others to follow.
Combining accessibility, sustainability, and inclusivity in your activities showcases the positive impact Local Guides can have on our communities. Keep up the excellent work!

@Rahul001 @SarathUpendran what an incredible and impactful Pride Month Walk! Love how you wove in so many challenges — from “Chai Pe Charcha” to “Beat the Heat” — while focusing on accessibility and supporting local businesses. The dedication to highlighting LGBTQ+ friendliness on Maps is fantastic. And that chai fridge magnet is a brilliant touch!
