I joined the Local Guides program on August 2, 2016. Back then, I was quiet—I didn’t post anything. I just observed and explored. I wasn’t ready to share yet.
That changed in October 2023, when I finally shared my first story on Local Guides Connect—about Angkor Wat and a quick visit to a temple in Siem Reap. From that moment, I saw the real power of this platform: storytelling, connection, and community.
Since then, I’ve contributed:
- 158 topics
- 4.7K+ posts read
- 2.4K likes received and 1.1K given
On May 30, 2025, I reached Level 9, and I’ve earned 13 badges, including:
- New Connector
- Zippy Writer
- Budding Writer
- Super Popular
… and more that reflect this amazing journey.
But here’s the truth—my goal has never been just to be active online.
My real mission is to bring Local Guides to life in Cambodia.
That’s why I started hosting meetups.
I’ve organized meetups that mix street exploration, map editing, photo walks, and community training—including:
- Street Walk & Photo Mapping – Royal Palace Area Recap: [In-Person] Cambodia, June 15, Street Walk & Photo Mapping: Phnom Penh Royal Palace Area
- Photowalk with Smartphone – Koh Dach Recap: [In-Person] Cambodia, July 15, Photowalk with Smartphone
- Local Guides Meet-up: Run & Map at Preah Vihear Temple 2025 Recap: [In-Person] Cambodia, July 06, Local Guides Meet-up: Run & Map at Preah Vihear Temple 2025
- ជួបគ្នាម្ដងទៀត! កម្មវិធីជួបជុំ Cambodia Local Guide Meetup is Back Recap: [Hybrid] Cambodia, July 19, ជួបគ្នាម្ដងទៀត! កម្មវិធីជួបជុំ Cambodia Local Guide Meetup is Back

- Cambodia Mega Edit – Map Data Problem Marathon (Phase II) [In-Person] Cambodia, August 10, Cambodia Mega Edit – Map Data Problem Marathon (Phase II)
 … and more to come.
Each meetup is about empowering others—teaching how to edit the map, take better photos, or even just notice what’s missing in our cities and towns.
For me, Local Guides is more than a platform.
It’s a movement to help others, fix digital gaps, and tell our stories—especially the ones not found in guidebooks.
From Phnom Penh to the countryside, I want people to feel part of this global mission.
I believe Local Guides should live not only on screen—but in the streets, markets, cafés, and communities where we walk every day.
Let’s continue the journey together—from online edits to offline action.
