Glimpses of the Detroit Pride Parade 2025

The Detroit Pride Parade in 2025 was being advertised for at least a week before.
I first noticed it on the huge billboard outside the Huntington Place where I attended a conference on 2nd June.

The parade started at the corner of Washington Street and Fort Street above the Fresh Mex Restaurant.

Initially, the band arrived in their nice brown uniform and created a festive mood, raising the energy levels of everyone who had gathered to witness the parade.

The area was sealed off for vehicles, and no roadside parking was allowed.

Initially, the Detroit Police started their motor parade to make sure that there was discipline on the road.

There were many people who were freely distributing PRIDE :rainbow_flag: theme collectibles like flags, placards, chains, chocolates, biscuits, snacks, badges, T-shirts, etc.

Kids and adults alike gathered on both sides of Washington Street to enjoy the PRIDE parade.

Also, the governor of Michigan greeted, cheered, and shook hands to show support.

Soon, one group after another joined the parade.
Some were NGO, others were corporate parties.

Both street hawkers were selling PRIDE-themed goodies, while others were sharing free samples.

People joined with their toddlers in small push cars, and their enthusiasm was high.

Here’s a Panorama photo that shows the festive mood and vibes at the PRIDE :rainbow_flag: in Detroit.

The PRIDE Parade then ended near Huntington Place in downtown Detroit.

Thanks to @Rahul001 for encouraging me to view the PRIDE :rainbow_flag: parade in Detroit.

Fantastic writeup with colourful photos @TusharSuradkar ji. It looks like any grand festival like Holi and Diwali what we celebrate back in India. You have given a good exposure to the PRIDE community. Great service indeed.

Thank you @jagatji ji - the PRIDE :rainbow_flag: community seems to be loving colors a lot
It reflects in their costume and easily fills the frame even for a casual photo.
