Hy Local Guides,
Today is a special day as we celebrate the International Day of Pink - a global movement against bullying, discrimination & exclusion. This day to stand up for kindness, diversity & building a community where everyone feels welcomed & belong.
As we enjoy the fresh new look for the Local Guides and the new look for our community-owned logo, this day is also the perfect occasion to showcase the creative design of our community. Seeing how we evolve visually mirrors how we grow as a supportive global community.
From celebrating the incredible milestone
of 100,000 contributions on Google Maps by @SarathUpendran whose dedication to adding new places and mapping thousands of miles of roads serves as a true inspiration to us all to @giteshsharma’s heartwarming celebration of the gift
received from the community following the Chai Pe Charcha challenge, it is clear that our collective participation and support for one another have truly come full circle.
Beyond our achievements, inclusivity is also about how we present ourselves and help others navigate the world. Speaking of identity and creative expression, let’s check on custom profiles
on Google Maps. It is a great way to think about how we represent ourselves within our community.
How are you celebrating today?
Whether you are wearing pink, sharing your latest creative designs, or simply cheering on a fellow local guide’s celebration, let’s continue to create an inclusive community together.

or design in the new look? Comment down below

It is a lovely, refreshing new day to celebrate dear @Rahul001
Last week, I came across this large pink bus converted into a convenient women-only washroom in Pune.

Hi @Rahul001 Thanks for sharing the value of the pink movement!
Pink is actually used for breast cancer campaigns worldwide, known as Pinktober. Here are some pictures of me at the gym; Pinktober and Valentine’s Day definitely bring out even more pink!

That’s one good find of pink
at Pune City. Do you add those on Google Maps through “public ladies toilet” category?

Thank you, @Rahul001, for the appreciation.
I noticed that the place was already added on Maps, so I only added the photo.
