As Today marks Earth Day, I am glad to introduce and discover a unique Women-Owned Store that is completely Eco-Friendly and their products are 100% handmade and to support Let’s Empower Women Owned Businesses on Google Maps by @Globe_trotter_Ish. This business was discovered while looking for local ceramic pottery shops.
Woman and Home is a collective handcraft store run by 16 women at Marappalam, Kerala. It was started to help new women entrepreneurs to start their business during Covid times where most of the women owned businesses came to closing their shops. Woman and Home gives space for different small local Women Owned Businesses or Women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and sell them.
Every piece of clothing is handmade with respect to the product showcased. Clothes vary from different types of saree which span from Kerala to Delhi. One of the key features of the store is also the diversity of clothes they are providing.
Woman and Home gave space for Simple Touch, a homemade beauty product store. Products vary from soaps, facewash, creams and other cosmetics items.
Bhamini is run by one of the starting founders of Woman and Home where she sells sarees and also does custom made sarees with stitching options.
With Bhamini, Candle with Care is run by one of the starting founders. Candle with Care offers ceramic pots and vases. Most of the products are locally handmade from hanging ceramics to decorative festival styled ones.

Beena Thomas, owner of Candle with Care started this Trend of having Newspaper carry bags among local women entrepreneurs.
