Today is celebrated and viewed as Comfort Food Day (December 5th). Comfort Food Day is celebrated to evoke nostalgia and memories when you had food that you loved. This food day also gives much credits to food that makes you comfortable. If you search, you can see there’s a “comfort food list” of every country. But I think it’s a bit controlled as someone’s comfort food won’t be another person’s favourite.
My favourite foods are: dosa, idli, Puri/Bhatura, biriyani, sadhiya and Vada.
How you can celebrate this day:
Share your homemade food with your families and friends.
Share your food recipes.
Go together with your friends and families to the nearest restaurant/food place to have a bite of your favourite food.
How you can celebrate and contribute as Local Guide:
Support local small food vendors.
Upload photos and give your valuable reviews about them.
Share your experiences on how you support local food vendors in your area/region.

The most enjoyable comfort food in Japan is a hot bowl of ramen. There are over 25000 ramen restaurants in Japan so you can try it anywhere. #Japan@Rahul001
Thank you Tony for sharing Ramen photos ( is the photo seen in screenshot yours) . In Kerala, we have a Japanese shop called Ogawa japanese cafe owned by a Japanese chef.
Hello, dear friend LG Shailendra Ojha…
If you are mentioning about the dish in my photo…
It’s Jackfruit-Rise cake, not commercially common; you may rarely get it in rural small tea shops… Am I right dear @Rahul001 ?
Yes we are familiar that you have tested almost or South Indian dishes…
Best wishes
