@YasumiKikuchi, you should try to apply!  @YumiSapporo and @HiroyukiTakisawa, have both attending in the last two years.  They can share with you their wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experiences coming to San Francisco and to go to the Googleplex. I know both of them personally because I've met both here in San Francisco!

You have to be 21 years old by Oct 16, 2018 and be Level 5 or higher (which you have that now as a Level 10).

The application deadline is May 1, 2018 11:59 PM UTC. 

All you need to do is speak English and answer these 2 two questions using your mobile for one 1 minute to create your video:

1) Why am I a Local Guide?

2) Why do I want to attend this year's Connect Live?

Then fill out the online application form. You have the Connect Post done (by using this post link).

2016年のサミットの参加ビデオは、あまり英語が上手く話せなかったので、ミートアップの画像をビデオにしてそれに声を吹き替えしました。昨年は函館でビデオ撮影して、声は吹き替えしました。

今年は自宅の照明の良いところで、1分間のスピーチを録画して応募しました。

英語については、ビデオ撮影はとりあえずご挨拶程度のスピーチができれば問題ないと思います。

英語力アップについては、オンライン英会話が断然スキルが上がりました。これから英語力上げる目標があるようでしたら

週1回か2回ネイティブに習うくらいなら、オンライン英会話で毎日トレーニングするのがオススメだと思います。

来年は応募するかどうか判らないので、もしかしたら今年が最後の応募かもしれないです。

毎年イベントがあるので、がんばってみてくださいね。

英会話が初歩にも及ばない状態で接したので本当に迷います。

紹介ビデオは作ってみようと思いますが、
遅くとも１年以内には会話できるよう、ご参考の方法を加えて猛勉強したいと思います(^^)

私も結構な状態のまま申請して、それから勉強を始めた口でしたので大丈夫だと思います。正直行けるのがわかった時は全く信じられませんでした。

申請期間は限られていますが、当選後にも行くかどうかを選択する機会はあります。まず申請してみて損をすることは何一つ無いと思いますよ。

海外旅行で食事する程度の会話なら、
