Notification For Private Message In connect

Hi,

I had posted two more times(here and here) in connect about this issue. There is a notification icon in connect 2.0, which shows just notification from discussion in connect. Earlier in connect 1.0 there were combined notification for both(for discussions and private messages). Connect 2.0 is not showing any notification for private messages. We receive an email for every private message but it is not possible that we check our email every time. A private message will be unread until we click on our profile icon in connect. 

@ErmesT Can you please merge my both old thread with this idea or merge them with each other?

Thank you for your further detailed explanation regarding your idea. It's true you only can see the private message through your profile picture on the top right corner and not from the notification bell.

As all of us know, that the “Private Message” Notification (Inbox) visibility is very poor. Can we all jointly suggest to bring the Notification into the LG Connect Home Page?

According to me, this is a very useful facility; however, due to the invisibility of the Notification, many times, the primary function of the ‘messaging’ itself is defeated. Many of you will agree, that we forget to glance at the Private Message Inbox, for days together.

Hence, here is one suggestion; if better suggestions are available, welcome, please.

The present LG Connect home page is familiar to all of us; still, for comparison:

Kindly implement it, if this is useful, and of course, this is feasible/acceptable, as per LG Connect policies.

If implemented it is very much useful for LG's, since it looks in convenient location.

And if it were difficult to realize, I think even a simple pop-up warning of new private messages at each login could be useful, true ?

Hello @TravellerG , Your suggestion is correct.

Already as you know, most of the Local Guides is castigated the message function, loves Facebook and Instagram of message. Because we feel time and energy are exhausted by patience with that function.

Another suggestion from me is to increase awareness of the guide by associating its messaging with Google Maps. But an outflow to other social network messaging services will be unavoidable.
