I got admitted to salford royal hospital on monday for a prolapsed disc in my lower back. I was told on Wednesday i woukd be going for surgery the following day and i qould be put on nil by mouth from midnight. Thursday comes and i was seen at 6am by the surgeon and he said i would be going up at 8am. I waited and waited until 4.30 and the two nurses came and said it wouldnt be today and it might be tomorrow. I was left from 9pm until 4.30 rhe following day without a drip for fluids i ended up with a severe migraine due to dehydration. Now its Saturday and im still waiting for the operation. Surely they cannot leave me tjat long without fluids?
