Maps system does not seem to recognize me as a LG.

 I realized that perhaps the appropriate place to report this issue is here on feedback:

As you can see Maps keeps inviting me to be a part of Google Maps 

Can you please advise?

Hi @VBenedict

Do you have more than one Google account. If so please make sure to be logged in with the correct account before opening Google Maps app.

Also, for your privacy, please edit your photo, removing your email address

This is not only with you, this happens to me(i think with everyone) also. It is nothing more than wrong words shown in the notifications of your phone.

It is possible but I do not believe so.  Especially since there are other symptoms.

@ErmesT   it is not possible because if I was logged into Maps with my other email I would not be able to see my badges and  reviews besides the fact that the other email has a very different icon.

Hello @VBenedict. It is one of the Google Maps notifications that they prompts you to add photos of places that you've visited. It does not mean they don't recognize you as a Local Guide. Please find more details here: Google Maps notifications

The message means that - your photo to "Be a part of Google Maps". Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
