Hello Local Guide, I noticed that Google map is very much helpful when searching for a place that you have never been to before and it helps you see the distance it takes you to get there, the problem starts when you want to know if the entrance is at which side, either the left, right, back or front especially if the building is a flat where it is between streets around it and there is no fans, or parking in-front of it which can give you clues and the building got multiple entrances , for example a U.S Consulate offices which does not provide parking services or may be your final destination entrance is at the center of the building, it becomes difficult for you to tell if you have to approach from which side and the only thing you have is the outside picture of the whole building or flat which may be a 360 degrees photo or top view as shown from the below picture.
It raised a question to me that what can be used to solve this? and I think that at the end of your destination when you are navigating, there must be an arrow showing directions from the main road or street to that particular office that you are going to and may be the arrow ends at the t urn style entrance or the lift if there is one, that special arrow may have a different color from that one we are using to navigate from the roads to make it stand out and not to confuse anyone, The arrow can be in a form of an L shape with an arrow head. This can eliminate stress and it can save you time from trying to guess the exact entrance. It will be better if this may be a feature that Local Guides can be able to add to every existing business or building.
I hope others may have a clear understanding of what I am trying to convey her and may be you can convey this in a better way that can help others get the exact point easily. I will check your comments and see what you think.
Thank you.
