Its the road champions of TRAC. Just to share our excitement with you all… it’s exactly a year ago since we initiated **TRAC **event. How time flies really.
No doubt we have been very successful and we have stayed together.
We have successfully created awareness about drawing roads on the Google maps
The line is open now, **We-want-U-to-join **the event and be part of the excitement and improvement on Google maps.
Special thanks local guides like @LovePathak28 . He was the first local guide that helped create this initiative. Plenty thanks to @Lukas_1 he is one of the numerous road champions we have. @ErmesT another road star @JustJake Thank you for your support always. @MarcoDavoli a loyal, dedicated statistician and vibrant road star too. @Berete1 the champions on the team. I haven’t forgotten @NareshDarji he was a strong support to us as well. @jayasimha78@PrasadVR and of course @MrFreez
These and many more I wish to tag but tagging limits. Thank you for your loyalty and dedication to improve Google maps. We will also let you know that the event has started to day… please we want you. Check on our Idex page for more information.
Please Note: This is not a competition it’s a simple campaign. It is aimed at creating awareness on drawing roads. It’s also aimed at improving the maps network worldwide. There are no gift or medals at the end of the campaign.it’s a voluntary activity like all local guides activities.
Disclaimer This campaign or post about adding roads, is unofficial and it’s my personal initiative to help improve the maps. Note that any information collected will not be used for any other official purpose outside connect forum.
Look forward to active participation and interactions over this. All questions are highly welcome and we are open to improving and editing this campaign for good
Why you forget about our Indian meet-up champion dear TG @TravellerG he is also valuable contribution in Road added in Google Map anyway nice report card kudos milestone achievement dear @SholaIB
Thank you for reminding me. I didn’t forget @TravellerG remember there is tagging limit. We can’t tag more than. 10 but there are over thirty participants on TRAC.
@TusharSuradkar is another one I should tag but tagging limit. Thank you all for your suggestions.
This is an awesome recap of the year past @SholaIB . I just signed up for the new campaign 2 hours before the kick-off event yesterday, so hoping to be part of this going forward. The presentation by @ErmesT was excellent.
Not sure if I’m on, or if I should expect further communication, but I’ve started experimenting successfully with some of the tips that were shared. Roads approved in less than a day, so let me know what I need to do next.
I’m happy to be a part of this campaign @SholaIB . Thanks for the initiative and I celebrate you and all members of TRAC for the resilience this past 1 year.
My dear friend, @ShailendraOjha - so kind of you… your words made my eyes wet with gratitude… it’s your kind heart…I don’t know whether I’m suitable for this…
I’m sorry, my name might’ve been left because of my mistake only… I have been not very active in Road Mapping due to turmoil at my home… I lost five family members in the past five months (of course, all four were aged - but, my cousin and my father in law were very close to me…!!!
Not sure if I’m on, or if I should expect further communication, but I’ve started experimenting successfully with some of the tips that were shared. Roads approved in less than a day, so let me know what I need to do next.
That’s awesome, Tony, welcome aboard. I was glad to see you jumped on the meet-up.
Just to be sure, did you fill out the form to let us know your interest in participating in TRAC? If not, do that so @SholaIB & @MarcoDavoli can get you on the stat sheet. If you’re not keen to joining the Telegram group, I’m tagging @Rednewt74 , who created a tracking spreadsheet to help you submit your numbers. All you need to do now is take note of your current road count from your profile (if you happen to have it as of the 23rd, awesome), and then keep on adding roads to the live Map.
We’re well underway, and a few LGs have already gotten their first 5/10/100+ roads. It’s very addicting, be warned, but every single participant makes a huge impact on this one.
I appreciate the shoutout, @SholaIB . I’m very happy to be part of this campaign. Because of last year’s event, I was able to finally make it to Level 10. And this year, I accomplished my New Year’s Resolution and became the Top Road Contributor in the USA on the Top 100 LG By Country Leaderboards. I have a feeling there’s a target on my back now, but I held the title for February, 2024, at least!
Thank you, Brother, you’ve organized a wonderful iniative for the community.
This is very addictive please be warned before jumping in. Adding roads seems to be the surest and fastest way of getting points though we are not point conscious.
@MarcoDavoli am on my way to half a million points this season all being well. It’s a slow start it seems but it’s going to be fairly competitive.
@JustJake am just so lucky to have guys like you on board. The campaign is almost taken off my hands for all your support and loyalty. Thank you. Am the number one man for roads in the whole of Africa. Lol
Yes @JustJake , I filled out the form. I also emailed @Rednewt74 as Telegram doesn’t work for me. No response either way, but my long-time solitary 1 road has now become 8 on my profile.
Yikes, I have looked everywhere and can’t find your email. Please try again through Connect private message or by email again (maybe I made a typo before)
Now it won’t allow me to put my email address in.
Alfrednew74 then’@gmail.com (don’t include the apostrophe)
I am very sorry that this has been a pain. Please don’t give up.
I wasn’t aware of the spreadsheet too. And I had to send a DM to @Rednewt74 too, for being added on the spreadsheet.
Just do it, to be able to add your numbers in there.
It is amazing that you already have 8 roads in your contributions, well done.
I’m happy that you found my tips helpful. At the beginning everything seems to be confused, but day after day everything will become easier.
Feel free to tag me if you need help about something. Don’t be worried about asking, because this kind of conversations can also help others with the same doubts
