The Unbelievable Jungle Beach With A Message to The World About Environment Pollution

A few days ago I published a post about “The Unbelievable Jungle Beach” and my post selected to the “Friday Favorites” too. A lot of friends ask me about the Jungle beach, therefore, I decided to publish a small video to the Connect.

In the 23rd of December 2018, we organized a cleaning program in the Jungle beach . There are many local and foreign volunteers participated for this program. The main special thing is most of the participants of the volunteers are prisoners from Galle prison. All the participants worked really hard and we were able to clean the beach completely. There’s is not even a single piece of plastic after the cleanup. We arranged a lot of cleanups in 2018. This clean up was the most successful cleanup.

In this year we are planning to organize another big cleanup with longtime solutions.

I created a small video to give a message to the world about environment pollution. In this video, you can have an idea about the Jungle beach.https://youtu.be/gQfYJ3_SfUU

@Aruni , @KlaudiyaG , @AnuradhaP , @YasumiKikuchi , @JaneBurunina , @helga19 , @Sahilmsk2208 , @Dinakar1 , @JavieraAu ,my friends, please have a look!

Please comment on what you think about environment pollution.
Please comment on what did you do to save the environment.
I really appreciate if you can comment about the effective solutions you know to save the environment.

@bDilshan95 I am really proud of you and congratulations! The video is very nice. Is it on, if I share it on Sri Lanka Local Guides Facebook page?

By the way, a post by me was selected for the First ever “Friday Favorites” post on the Connect last year. At that tie is was called “Four Google Moderators’ favorite posts this week” I am glad as a Sri Lankan Local Guide to see Local Guides from Sri Lanka is helping to promote Sri Lanka and Local Guides. Hope to see more posts from you.

Hello, my dear friend @helga19

Thank you very much for your valuable comment. I really appreciate it. You’re absolutely right if we don’t stop this pollution now maybe in a few years there will be more plastic than sea creatures in the ocean.

Hello @bDilshan95
What I am doing to protect the environment is to not throw things away. Even if the warehouse is full, it will not be discarded until it is depreciated.

Hello Mr.Aunradha @AnuradhaP
Thank you very much for share those details with me. I’m so thankful you for translating that valuable post to Sinhala. I read all. I think it’s better to make a plastic recycling system near the beach areas. I noticed one thing when we do cleanups it increase the littering percentage because they think it’s okay to throw plastic because there’s a group to clean it. I asked many people and they said there’s a team come to clean the beach so it’s okay to throw plastic. I felt so sad about their words. After I read your posts I realized that we must give them good knowledge about the matter. We have to found a good solution for this. I watched the story about three bottles. Maybe I think I can make a recycling machine. I think it will be a good thing. Want to study more about the solutions. Mr. Anuradha, you’re doing a great service to the world. I’m so lucky to have contact with a great person like you. We have to protect our country from terrorists and also environmental pollution. Please feel free to use any of my videos. I didn’t add any copyright so it’s no problem to download it. You can use my photos, videos anything. I’m sure we can find a good solution for this worldwide problem.

Hello @YasumiKikuchi

Self-control is a really good habit, my friend. I agree with you. I appreciate your comment.

My friend can you do me a favor, can you give me some details about the solutions that Japan uses to clean the cities and environment. I really appreciate if you can give me some details about the plastic recycling methods use in Japan.

Hello @Indira_IllathuVala

Thank you very much! I captured this picture using my drone.

Hi @bDilshan95

Japan has some measures in place for countries that emit a large amount of waste. Garbage separation is being carried out in all Japan, including Tokyo. Japanese products have international standard marks attached and are designed to make it easy to dismantle materials. Biodegradable plastics are also used.
And Japanese children are educated not to throw away waste.

Hello @YasumiKikuchi

Thank you very much, my dear friend, for the quick response. Your information is very valuable. As I realized after reading your comment education system is the matter in Sri Lanka. In here children aren’t educated to not to throw rubbish very much. Maybe this will be a good solution. I need to find many more long-time solutions like this. Thank you very much, my friend, for the support. I really appreciate it. :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:
