Pirate Island belongs to the Ha Tien archipelago of Vietnam, the entire archipelago constitutes Tien Hai commune in Ha Tien city, Kien Giang province. Because pirates once raged this area in the past, the islands were called the Pirate Islands. The Pirate Islands used to be the base of pirates around the end of the 17th and early 18th centuries. Starting from here, the pirates attacked, controlled and committed crimes against large Chinese merchant ships and Western countries in the area of Ha Tien Bay - Rach Gia go to the Gulf of Thailand. During the Vietnam Republic period, the archipelago was still called the Pirate Islands and they built their sovereign milestones in 1958.
You can come here easily by passenger ships to the island, these ships come from Ha Tien town, Kien Giang province, Vietnam, it takes 1-2 hours. The road around the island is about 7km, you can rent a bicycle to travel, on the island there are guest houses, restaurants, etc. convenient when you want to stay for a few days to explore the island. I came here from Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam to take photos, because the island is not very big, so I have discovered a lot in 2 days. Although it is not a big island, but it is very popular and many tourists come here when its “Pirate Island” name evokes magical adventures…
