The answer to that question would be: To travel around the world – literally.
Last year I decided to visit Hawaii, but I soon discovered, that the flight would take more than 24 hours from Germany. So I needed one or more stops for my flight. And that was the moment that I decided to stop at even more locations and to return to Germany the other way around the globe.
And with the Google Local Guide program I would take a lot of pictures and write a lot of reviews about the hotels, restaurants and sightseeing spots. I planned to make this an experience that other people can follow.
And my first stop was Lisbon in Portugal. It was my first time ever there, so it was a new experience for me. From there I flew to New York City. And as for my first time in the United States I was really impressed by the huge buildings in Manhattan. During my stay there I had the opportunity to get a look at the city during the St. Patrick’s Day and the New York Marathon.
From New York I flew to Los Angeles and stayed in Hollywood. It was really interesting, that this part of the USA is so completely different to New York. I also checked out Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.
After a few days I finally arrived at Honolulu, Hawaii. And I was really lucky to make this experience. The beaches were so beautiful and the people so relaxed. I took a lot of pictures and shared them on the Local Guides with some reviews.
After a week I continued my journey to Japan. First I stayed in Kyoto, then I traveled to Osaka. I was in Japan a few times until then, but it is always good to come back. And I was able to visit a few new places and add them to the Google maps.
The next and final stop of my journey was Hong Kong. It was just before the riots started there, so I was lucky not to get involved in that. I always loved that city, but I was’nt there for a long time, so I could write quite a lot of reviews.
And after a few days in Hong Kong I few back home to Germany. It was quite some distance, that I traveled, but I gained a lot of expressions and a lot of new views for my pictures.
So, I hope that my travel experiences could help others by reading my reviews for all the places that I visited.
