The Girnar - Heaven in Gujarat, India.

Here , I am writing my first post on Local Guide Connect. I am going to tell you about one of the most amazing place of Gujarat, India. Yes, It is Mount Girnar at Junagadh City of Gujarat. The Mount Girnar is a sacred place for Hindu and Jain Religion. There are many temple on the Mountain, People go there and worship God. It is Holy place as well as so adventurous that I visit it twice or thrice in a year. Mount Girnar has near about 9,999 stair steps on it. At the peak there is a temple of ‘Guru Dattatreya’.

The Mount Girnar is a combination of worship, adventure, nature and thrill. Everybody must visit it once in a life time. The climbing of 10k steps is hard but the way towards the peak is so joyful. You can truly enjoy the nature’s beauty at highest. I Must say This place becomes so splendiferous one should take advantage of it. You can only see the colors green of nature, white of clouds and gray of hard rock. You can see every where small water falls and the amazing sound of falling water It will bring inner happiness and smile on your face.

It is located at Junagadh City , The City it self is a very decent Identity in India. It is very ancient and It has huge heritage in it which is the true Indian Culture. There are many places to visit which are so amazing. I will tell you about other places in next posts. Kindly tell me what do you think about this post and ask me if you have any query. Thank you for being here till the end. ‘Jay Girnari’ , The word spoken by the fellow people meet each other there.

Hi,

I’m Phu from Vietnam.

Could you let me know the present situation of Girnar Rock Edict of Asoka?

When I came there in 2014, the roof fell down right on the rock.

@The_Chiragg - welcome to Connect! For you very first post here, this is a great post.

You pretty much covered How do I write a post on Connect.

My personal tips on top of this is to include your Local Guides review links to your post so that if a fellow Local Guide is interested in seeing these places, he or she will know exactly where these places are on Google Maps and he or she can save your links for a Google Maps List.

Or better yet, create a list of all

the places and businesses you visited here and share it.

Cheers,

Karen
