On this Thankful Thursday, we want to give a shout-out to Local Guides who share their world through photos on Connect and Google Maps. Your carefully selected images inspire, entertain, educate, and bring joy. We’re grateful for Local Guides like @MariaNgo and @TravellerG who make Australia and India feel closer than ever. Do you have a photo that tells a story from your area?
Have you ever been to Melbourne? If not, don’t worry, because you can explore the many faces of this Australian city right here on Connect.
Local Guide @MariaNgo loves to host photo walks and photograph the curious and the everyday along the way. She’s shown us what Melbourne is like throughout the year: autumn leaves and weddings by the sea in April; blossoming trees in August; boats, ice cream, and festive decor in November. The rich photo collages and engaging stories make Maria’s posts a real feast!
Whether you’re a photography buff or just starting on your journey as a photographer, you’ll find plenty of guidance and examples in this Local Guide’s series — from taking photos at the zoo to live performances and more. And if there’s something you want to learn more about, don’t be shy to ask. @TravellerG loves to share stories and knowledge.
Join us in celebrating these awesome Local Guides and everyone who tells stories through photos! Have you read some of their posts or attended their meet-ups? Let us know below.
Australia is close to me but still it’s such a BIG country so I love seeing photos taken by other Local Guides like those by @MariaNgo. @TravellerG’s are always so bright and colorful and certainly make you feel closer than ever to India I mean just have a look at this beautiful photo of the male dancer! Congratulations to both the Local Guides on being selected for this edition of Thankful Thursday.
