At the John F Kennedy Airport in New York last week, I came across a sustainable business that had installed vending machines. The name was Farmer’s Basket.
This was a self-operated kiosk that used recyclable cups, jars, and containers for the food product they sold.
Very innovative ideas they are using.I like it very much.IT Is very difficult to apply in our area.
every time I purchased plates prepared by bamboo or sugarcane. Now these plates are available in dmart.
Excellent initiative for sustainable future, amazing to know that the AVM has an option to even take back the waste. Thank you for sharing @TusharSuradkar
Yes, this was a high point of the sustainability efforts by this business @Ssiddharth2000
They took extra efforts to make it easy to dispose off the used containers.
Wow these types of self operating machines are very necessary now a day’s.I wish these types of technology should be available all over India too hope these technologies will be there in the future
Farmer’s Basket sounds like a fantastic example of sustainability in everyday business — combining convenience with eco-conscious practices.
Using recyclable cups and jars in vending machines is a smart move to reduce single-use plastic waste. Plus, the slot for paper bowl disposal encourages responsible disposal right at the point of use.
Thanks for sharing this — it’s a perfect example for other travelers and local guides to notice and promote greener options in public spaces!
Now recently visited multiple airports, I am sure you must have taken multiple photos at the airport. Please drop some for the Showcase the Airport Beauty challenge.
Yes, dear @TusharSuradkar , this is really an inspiring post…
How about I fear weather plant based products in their food containers may be rare in India… what is your opinion?
Surely, I shall be on the lookout…
Best wishes & regards
