I came across Ice Bay yesterday when I was looking for an ice cream in the afternoon. After a little bit of chitchat with Anna M Joy, I came across to know that she was one of the owners of this Business Franchise.
Ice Bay is also a perfect challenge spot for Earth hour Challenge as they don’t use plastics for wrapping up their ice creams. They completely use Paper material for the ice cream they serve for the customer.

Anna M Joy, owner of Ice Bay, Nanthancode, Trivandrum.
- What inspired you to step into Business and especially to own a franchise?
Answer : The quality of Ice Bay’s ice cream popsicles gave me the confidence to start up my franchise. I had support from my parents and dear ones around me.
- As the only woman owner in the two owners of the franchise, what unique perspective did you bring to the business you own?

Answer : I had to make sure that nothing went wrong with any of my products and that made my customers really happy. I ask my customers to give us their genuine review on our product. I feel blessed when my customers give good and valuable compliments.
- How do you include inclusivity and diversity in your business team?
Answer : I made sure that our shop has its own aesthetic space that attracts more customers to it. I will also be working on the same to enhance the beauty of my shop.
- How did you use Google Maps to promote your business and engage with customers?

Answer : Google Maps has helped my new customers to reach their destination. Customers and local guides like Rahul’s valuable reviews and contribution has helped us to grow.
- What advice would you give to other Women who are considering starting a business or a franchise business?
Answer : I genuinely believe that women can do what they aspire for. I want to tell all the women to dream and make her wish happen to succeed in their life. I know nothing is going to stop them if their dreams are huge and big enough.
- What message do you want to convey to women-local guides?
Answer : I want women- local guides to give truthful and genuine reviews and contribute to the local women owned business on this women’s day.
