It’s festive season in India. Whether it’s Navratri or Durga Puja, it’s always a fantastic way to celebrate with the community and to support small local festive shops on Google Maps.
I am excited to participate in the Durga Puja Challenge of @Shaunak and Dil se Local Challenge of @AjitThite by spotlighting how I support local shops which are preparing for the Navratri.
Sree Amarjyothi General & Pooja Store, a newly opened local shop for festivals & puja items.
While shopping, I can see the shop was decorating their spaces with idols of Goddess Saraswati and Sri Krishna. Mainly these idols of Saraswati are used as Kolu for Navratri preparation.
How I supported their business on Google Maps!
- Edited their incorrect location.
- Uploaded photos & gave them a review.
Bommai Golu or kolu was seen at LuLu Mall, as part of Navratri. Check this post to know about Kolu.
Kolu or idols of Goddess Saraswati can be seen on streets as part of Navratri.
I thank @Shaunak for starting Durga Puja Challenge and @AjitThite for starting the challenge to support local businesses on festival days.
Supporting small businesses especially during festive times like Navratri and Durga Puja is so meaningful. Thank you for highlighting this and inspiring others to do the same.
