As you can see in the images (all captured by me during my visit to the place) , they use only steel spoons, steel straws , wooden bowls and cutlery (specially for items that kids are using since they cant use ceramic or glass! , whch is so thoughtful !!! ) and serve even water in glass bottles ! Even the tissues kept at the table were made from bamboo and were washable and re-usable ! The restaurant also serves even bit size food to encourage minimum food wastage.
They serve amazing Itaian pizzas too @ErmesT ! It reminded me of you , @LuigiZ and @JaneBurunina who is now there ! You all would love this place ! Good food , great vibes and eco-friendly place to the core !
nice story @Globe_trotter_Ish we should support eco-friendly restaurants like this amidst many other restaurants that are still serve food and drinks with one time usage plastic cutlery, which of course will produce even more waste, including waste that is very difficult for the environment to decompose.
Really I am happy that many restaurants are avoiding plastics. Very beautiful place and nice pictures. I loved the small wooden bowls and cute spoons. All pictures are very beautiful. Thanks for this wonderful post about the eco-friendly restaurant @Globe_trotter_Ish

It’s heartening to see how they’ve embraced eco-friendly practices - using steel spoons, wooden bowls, and even bamboo reusable tissues (that’s particularly unique entry).
Your observations highlight the thoughtful measures they’ve taken, especially catering to children with safe, sustainable cutlery. Such initiatives set a commendable example for restaurants everywhere.
Appreciate your efforts in sharing this gem and promoting sustainability.
Wow, great to know about this eco friendly restaurant. I loved the idea of bit sized serving to avoid wastage. The photos are beautiful too. Thank you for sharing @Globe_trotter_Ish
It’s truly heartening to see restaurants like Subko not just talk about sustainability but actually embed it into every aspect—from cutlery to food sourcing. The attention to detail, like washable bamboo tissues and thoughtful child-safe serving options, speaks volumes about their values.
