This is another meet-up that you wouldn’t want to miss. Although with 36 local guides, it was well attended. We had a good number of TRACians represented. We also had a good number of newbies, who are wanting to learn to draw roads. We really hope more and more local guides will get involved in drawing roads. Our able and eloquent TRACian @MrFreez did well on the lecture on adding Roads.
We started the meet-up at the dot of 17.30hrs GMT+0. We started with informal chats and discussions about road approvals. Most of us agreed that the approval rate is very down at the moment. Although Marco keeps on showing and advocating for 500k target of roads !!! Lol. Nevertheless, we realise that at this rate of approvals, TRAC 2026 will be difficult or impossible. Despite that, we still advised our team members to keep motivated and start warm up exercises on adding roads.
This is a Pre-TRAC meet-up, so discussions about our approach for next event came up. Last year we had the team system. It was interesting enough though, but we wanted to know if we will continue with that. If anyone has a better idea and approach, we will be happy to consider it come 1st of March 2026. We most probably will conduct a poll over that on connect. As always, majority carries the vote.
We used this opportunity to address issues on our Monthly achievement E-mail on Road Mapper. As a result of our agreement on this post, we are sharing our achievements on one thread. We usually nominate some active members of our community to start the thread. Other achievement posts will be merged into the proposed thread started. Therefore, nominated
