New to Connect? Try Using # for Headings!

Hello Local Guides! :waving_hand:

New to Connect? :glowing_star: Learn how to write your first post here :backhand_index_pointing_right: How do I write a topic on Connect? by @DeniGu and start contributing — you’ll even be rewarded with a special badge for writing your first post on Connect! :tada:
Here is a comprehensive and helpful tool that you can use while writing a post :backhand_index_pointing_right: Formatting your topic to look nicer by @MortenCopenhagen

While writing you can format your posts beautifully on Local Guides Connect by using hashtags (#) to create headings and subheadings? This simple trick not only makes your post look organized but also helps readers navigate your content easily. :compass:

:pushpin: Why Use Hashtags?

Using # before your text turns it into a heading. The number of hashtags you use decides the size of the heading—the more hashtags, the smaller the text becomes.

Here’s how it works:

# Heading 1 (Largest)
## Heading 2
### Heading 3
#### Text 1
##### Text 2
###### Text 3 (Smallest)

And here’s how it will actually look when published:

Heading 1

Heading 2

Heading 3

Text 1

Text 2
Text 3

:light_bulb: Pro Tip: Add Bold for Emphasis

You can even bold your headings to make them stand out more! Just:

  • Use the bold button in the writing panel OR
  • Add ** before and after the text

For example:

## **Bold Heading 2**

This will show up like:

Bold Heading 2

:raising_hands: Final Thoughts

Next time you’re writing a recap, sharing photos, or telling your story—try structuring your post with headings using hashtags. It will make your post more readable, professional, and attractive! :glowing_star:

Thank you for sharing this. Before writing my post, I did search on Connect, but this result didn’t appear as I was using the wrong keywords. Your post not only covers this point but also includes many other useful tips in a much better way.

Hello @K.K.Sharma

I wonder is that the right use of the solution feature? Please kindly verify and do the necessary.

Solutions are marked when a local guide asks a question or has doubt about something. This topic is neither a question nor a query. Do you agree with me on this? Maybe you should read Why and how to mark a comment as solution?

That said, please feel free to remove the solution marked on your topic seeing it’s not meant to be.

Cheers
