As we discussed during our meetup this morning at Home Brew Coffee and Bakery, this year only two @CHYSophat @ViasnaPhon representatives from Cambodia will have the opportunity to participate and proudly represent our country. I hope that next year we will see even more participants from Cambodia, especially more women, joining this inspiring global community. Wishing them a successful and meaningful experience in Singapore!
Celebrating 10 Years of Local Guides Connect
This meetup was also a special moment to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Local Guides Connect.
A big thank you to @SophatChy and team for printing these very cute Cambodia Local Guides stickers as memorable gifts for our meetup this morning. I brought many stickers to share with my connections and friends, along with the adorable Meow Meow Panda.
It was a wonderful gathering filled with friendship, sharing, and memorable moments among the Cambodia Local Guides community. I look forward to more opportunities to connect, contribute, and grow together in this amazing community.
Celebrating My One-Year Anniversary with Local Guides Connect
This month marks my one-year anniversary as part of the Local Guides Connect community. I first became interested in contributing to Google Maps and Local Guides Connect after being inspired by @SophatCHY. I started at Level 2, and through my continuous contributions, reviews, and sharing experiences, I have now reached Level 7.
My One-Year Achievement on Google Maps
During this one-year journey, I have achieved many meaningful milestones on Google Maps:
- 87 place reviews
- 194 contributions
- 1,160 earned points
- 584K profile views from users
I have also contributed by helping to edit, create, and verify business information for local places, including Ta Khom Farm, my sister’s Mak TyTy Coconut Coffee, my brother’s business, and many other businesses.
My photos, reviews, and contributions have reached thousands and hundreds of thousands of views. In total, throughout this first year, my contributions have received more than 200,000 views, which motivates me to continue sharing useful information with the community.
My One-Year Journey on Local Guides Connect
Over the past year, I have created 24 topics on Local Guides Connect. Among them, the topics that make me most proud are:
- “Community Spotlight 2025: 3 Top Places to Adventure in Cambodia”
- “Community Spotlight 2025: Vegan Food is in the Rich Culture of Cambodia”
These stories and many more stories helped introduce Cambodia’s beauty, culture, and unique experiences to more local guides around the world. I am proud to share my Kingdom of Wonder with this amazing global community.
For me, Google Maps has become an important part of my daily life and a true passion. Wherever I go, I enjoy discovering new places, sharing useful information, writing meaningful reviews, and contributing to make Google Maps more accurate and valuable for communities around the world. This journey allows me to connect with people, support local businesses, and share the beauty of Cambodia with a global audience.
Once again, on behalf of the Cambodia Local Guides community, I would like to congratulate @SophatCHY and @ViasnaPhon will participate in Connect Live 2026. We are proud that you will bring our voices, experiences, and challenges to this global platform.
