১. নাম:
আমি মুহাম্মদ স্বাধীন হাসান (Mohammad Shadhin Hasan)।

২. কোথা থেকে:
বর্তমানে চট্টগ্রাম শহরে বসবাস করি। তবে আমার পারিবারিক শেকড় ঝিনাইদহ জেলার শৈলকূপা উপজেলার গোহাইলবাড়ীয়া নামক একটি গ্রামে। তাই দুই জায়গাতেই আমার কন্ট্রিবিউশন রয়েছে।

৩. Google Maps-এ আমি যেসব কন্ট্রিবিউশন করি:
ছবি তোলা, রিভিউ লেখা, নতুন স্থান যুক্ত করা, ভুল ঠিক করা ও তথ্য হালনাগাদ—সবকিছুতেই সক্রিয়ভাবে অংশ নিই, আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।

৪. আমি কী ভালোবাসি:
ভ্রমণ করতে ভালোবাসি। পাশাপাশি ফটোগ্রাফি, ইতিহাস, লেখালেখি এবং প্রযুক্তি বিষয়ে গভীর আগ্রহ রয়েছে।

৫. কেন Local Guide হয়েছি:
মানুষকে সাহায্য করা আমার ভেতরের একটা শক্ত ইচ্ছা। আমি চাই আমার এলাকার ঐতিহ্যবাহী, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং অজানা জায়গাগুলো Google Maps-এ সঠিকভাবে তুলে ধরতে। কারণ অনেকেই এই বিষয়ে সচেতন নয়। তাই আমি নিজে থেকেই এই দায়িত্ব নিয়েছি।

2. Location: Manitoba, Canada

3. What I love about being a Local Guide: I just enjoy helping my neighbours access accurate information. There’s a lot of change happening on Maps constantly. Not all changes to data is accurate. I monitor locations managed by organizations known for submitting inaccurate information to Google Maps & make applicable corrections when my systems notify me of changes. That way, other people can decide whether or not to visit a location based on more accurate profiles. And when Google accepts my edit suggestions, that is my achievement.

4. My favorite thing to explore: For several years, I have been keeping track of abandoned buildings in my city. This is tracked using my own prototype web app mapping platform as well as the now hidden MyMaps platform. The coordinates are not made public for the sake of public safety. Subsequently I have submitted details on derelict buildings to safety advocates, & eventually these are demolished or renovated.

5. Fun fact about me: I’ve been involved in professional voice art for 10 years, & have worked in radio. I have never been fluent in a language other than English, but I once decided to teach myself a folk song on Ukrainian & recorded myself singing it. After the video went a little viral (mostly in Ukraine), I was invited to perform the song at a fundraiser - accompanied on guitar by a young refugee.
