1. Name: Nicolás Maizares
2. Location: Salta, Argentina
3. What led you to become a Local Guide: Living in the beautiful province of Salta, near the Calchaquíes Valleys, I realized that many amazing places — from hidden landscapes to family-run bakeries — weren’t easy to find online. I became a Local Guide to fill that gap. I’m passionate about sharing real-time updates on road conditions — vital for safety on our mountain routes — and helping tourists discover the authentic culture of northern Argentina through detailed reviews and photos.
4. My favorite thing to explore: Whether it’s the Cuesta del Obispo or a hidden viewpoint like the one overlooking the “Río Puyil,” I enjoy documenting the journey there. I also love discovering small local businesses (like hardware stores or spice shops) that offer great personalized service but lack digital visibility. Helping them get found is my way of supporting my community.
5. Fun fact about me: I’m a sunset fanatic! My perfect plan is to climb San Bernardo’s Hill just to drink some mate while watching the sun go down over the city. Also, I recently set myself the challenge of reaching Level 5 in record time to demonstrate my commitment to this community… and I did it!
