Hey @Zoger_Bern ,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Please have in mind that only the cameras that are listed on our web site are Street View ready and that if your camera is not listed, it means it’s not compatible with the SV app. I suggest that you take a look at the announcement about the SV app changes in the Street View Help Center as well. As there is no support on Connect for Street View anymore, please make sure as well that all your queries are directed to their Help Center.
I also wanted to let you know that it is against our rules to participate in Local Guides program as business or brand. You can review our program rules on this link and please make sure to comply. If you want to participate in both program, here you will find out how.
P.S.: With the above said, I am marking my comment as a solution. This means that if someone else has a similar doubt, the information can be found easier. I will also move your post to our How-tos board, where Local Guides ask questions and express their doubts.
I stumbled across this post looking for compatibility because the current camera list on the Google tutorial appears to be a couple years old. Does Google plan on publishing a new list anytime soon? Several of the cameras have been replaced with newer models like the X2 and Theta SC and those of us just getting into 360 cameras that want to help are dealing with either buying an obsolete camera with unsupported apps or taking an expensive guess and crossing our fingers that our new toy works.
Hi @Shawn_Kipp ,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Here we can’t confirm if the list of cameras will be updated soon, as Connect is dedicated to Local Guides program. What I can suggest is that you send a feedback to the team directly from the Street View application so the responsible team can consider your suggestion.
Since you are new here, I suggest that you check out this article to get a better idea on how to navigate in the forum. On the other hand, on this link, you will find the main subjects we discuss here. You can also introduce yourself in our monthly section and meet others from the community.
I see the same problem. I would like to contribute street view imagery with the insta360 one X2 but it appears this camera is not supported and the cameras listed on googles supported cameras page are outdated and some are no longer sold. This makes it difficult to contribute imagery from a consumer level device. I think I will be returning my insta360 one X2 since I cannot use it for the purposes I had hoped. I think google should seriously consider adding support for modern consumer level 360 cameras, there would be so much more contribution from local guides if they were able to upload content.
Hi @Jacobdykstra ,
It is the camera manufacturers the ones that must submit to Google their cameras specifications for approval as Street View Ready cameras. They do so through the Street View ready program.
https://developers.google.com/streetview/ready
I suspect that camera manufacturers, given all the problems that Google has with the publications of 360 imagery contributed by users, have lost interest in certifying their cameras as Street View Ready.
Hi,
That’s not an official solution, but this worked for me. I don’t have a One X2 cam but a Insta360 EVO.
The iOS EVO app has everything to publish to GSV, but unfortunately, the Google authentication API changed and the EVO app is no longer supported by Insta360. So I have a 404 error instead of a google authentication page.
So, I can’t publish anything to GSV, but I can grab with GPS data.
And, the magic! The old One X app is still available and fully working with GSV. So, I use my old EVO app for everything except uploading videos to GSV. When I finish to grab the videos I want, I connect my EVO cam to my phone using the old One X app. I download the vidz from my EVO to my phone, and publish them to GSV.
I don’t know if the One X2 has such an old app with GSV support or if it came with the new Insta360 app (with no GSV support). But you could try to delete the new I-Insta360 app, install the old One X dedicated app, connect the X2 to the One X dedicated app (yeah, you’ll probably miss some settings) but you should be able to grab a video with GPS data and share it to GSV.
Hi,

Hi @SteveNilsen ,

Have in mind that this private community doesn’t exist anymore and there is no support for trusted photographers on Connect. You should direct all your related queries to the new Help Center, restricted to trusted users only. Let me know if you can’t access it.
Esto es verdad, acabo de comprar la poderosa insta360 one X2 y NO sirve para Google Street, increíble que Google no pueda dar soporte a cámaras nuevas, y solo a viejas cámaras desactualizadas. Una pena.
Damn! My X2 arrives today and I thought I can help contribute to Street View with this. I guess not then?
It is true, on YouTube there are tutorials on how to contribute images to GSV with Insta One X.
I bought the One X2 because it is the new version and it is useless.
I bought it to improve the version of GSV in my region since its images are from the year 2011 and we are in 2021 … You want to look for something of reference in GSV and it does not exist for having photos of 2011.
I bought the camera to map my area and update the images to 2021. But Insta 360 One X2 does not work for video sharing in GSV … Only 360 photos
Google, why won’t you lend me your mapping backpack?
Hi All,
I am using Insta 360 one X2.
I urge you to know how to capture Latitude and Longitude details with direction from the video we capture with an interval of 5 sec.
I am connecting the recommended GPS with Insta 360.
From the images we capture in the camera, please guide me on how to extract files with Lat-Long and direction details.
I want to integrate the Insta 360 degree capture with a customised application. From the other professional system, I get a file that is attached here for reference. Plotting this file in the application gives me trajectory and I can integrate the 360-degree capture from their dedicated proprietary camera.
Please guide me

Actually, the Insta360 ONE X2 DOES work well for sharing Google Street View. Instead of using the GSV app or Insta360 app, people are using new PC tools developed by Dean Zwikel. Dean’s tools are free at the current time and are being discussed in the Facebook Insta360 groups.
His uploader gives full 5.7K quality uploading 24/30 fps video that has been exported from the Insta360 Studio desktop. The workflow takes longer than the app but you can process batches of videos unattended overnight. It is quite simple and easily accomplished once you do it a couple of times.
In the Facebook Insta360 ONE X/ONE X2 forums search for Dean Zwikel.

Please kindly add insta360 one x2 device in gsv apps. i am waiting from 2020.
Sorry but Google is removing functions from the GSV app, not adding to. It is unlikely Google will add for ONE X2. Uploading using Dean Zwikel’s tools works well as I described in my previous post.
Hello,
As of today Dean Zwikel’s file upload is not working, it is causing problems and Dean is on vacation.
until the new year
Just wondering what kind of problems is it having? Which of the tools is having the problems? Thanks.
When I load a 360 video through the tool, it loads 100%, with my gmail account, but when I enter the google street app, the video that is in process or load is not seen
Hmmm… how long have you waited? And how long has this been going on? If the uploading process completes normally it might be a Google problem. Maybe wait a day to see if the GSV app displays normally.
