See you in Lucca! If somebody heard me saying this sentence somewhere at the Euromeetup 2024 in Manchester, well now it is time to make it effective :sunglasses:: me and @ErmesT are inviting all of you at the next Euromeetup 2025 in the beautiful and historical city of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy.

There is still plenty of time, actually not really a lot :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:, considering what big and amazing event became the yearly #euromeetup but do pin immediately the dates in your calendars!

The agenda is:

  • Thursday, 19th June
    18:30-22:00 - Welcome dinner
    22:00 - Lucca night city walking tour

  • Friday, 20th June: Euromeetup Day 1
    9:00-11:00 - Ciclotour on the footsteps of Giacomo Puccini
    11:30-13:00 - The Tower of Lucca: Torre Guinigi & Torre delle Ore
    13:00-14:15 - Lunch
    14:30-17:00 - The National Lucca Museums: Palazzo Guinigi & Palazzo Mansi
    17:30-19:00 - Group activity
    20:00-22:00 - Dinner
    22:00-23:30 - Night private tour to the Giacomo Puccini museum

  • Saturday, 21st June: Euromeetup Day 2
    9:00-12:45 - The botanic garden and the walls of Lucca with its bastions and undergrounds
    12:45-14:15 - Lunch
    14:30-16:00 - Panel Talk & Global virtual meetup
    16:30-18:00 - Medieval revocation show on the walls of Lucca
    18:00-20:00 - Free time in the Lucca Historia medieval show
    20:00-22:00 - Dinner

  • Sunday, 22nd June: Good bye Morning

Background information
The #EuroMeetup is basically a fun and exciting meet-up somewhere in Europe (past events include Krakow in 2018, Ghent in 2019, Munich in 2023 and Manchester in 2024) and is open to all Local Guides from all over the world! If you can make it, we’d love to have you here!

Using @AdrianLunsong words it is like an holiday with a group of friends or strangers (but soon to be friends), exploring the city with a local Local Guide (your hosts) showing you the best places and hidden gems, and of course having fun! It is also a great opportunity to share ideas on writing reviews, taking photos and all things Local Guides related.

And as an important reminder all attendees will pay for their own expenses as this is an unofficial meet-up that is not funded by Google. This is a community led event organized by the community for the community.

Mi sto organizzando per partecipare. Ho già prenotato il traghetto (sarò in Sardegna in quel periodo).
Per l’alloggio… per caso avete o state discutendo con qualche struttura o provvedo a prenotarmi una camera dove meglio trovo?

Considera per ora solo di tenere libere le date.
Per tutti i dettagli stiamo lavorando, ma data l’importanza dell’evento di quest’anno abbiamo preferito annunciare il meet-up subito, per dare tempo alle persone di bloccare le date

Per ora ho prenotato il traghetto perchĂŠ ad aprile mi trasferisco per un lungo periodo in Sardegna, come @ErmesT oramai sa.

Bellissimo programma, purtroppo però non riesco a partecipare. Il periodo di giugno è un periodo di “lavoro” collegato alla mia zona e quel weekend (meteo permettendo) sarò bloccato. Nel caso in cui dovesse esserci una serie di giornate di pioggia (nella mia zona) vi raggiungerò con un last minute, sarebbe bello poter rivedere alcuni visi già ben conosciuti che però non rivedo da tempo.
Se invece volete passare a trovarmi prima o dopo il meetup qui a Norcia sono a disposizione per farvi da “local guide” e portarvi a scoprire le mie montagne e le aree che preferisco. Grazie comunque per l’organizzazione @LuigiZ e grazie a @ErmesT per l’invito!
