This is awesome! I have severally wanted to report a road closure but have never seen the means to do so. this will surely help alot of persons navigating with the add of google map.

How do we report roads that are permanently blocked off when using maps navigation, today Google take me on a route and was going to have me turn on a road that has no access to get on to it from that road it is barricaded in blocked off permanently. Metolius drive and Todd lake Court in Bend Oregon there is no intersection there and cannot turn.

This looks like an awesome new tool, and I think it probably has the greatest potential for the general public to self-broadcast their emergency communications since CB radio.
Like any other tool of any kind, there is some potential for misuse. What kinds of measures are being put into place to prevent this tool from being used in a malicious manner? If you don’t understand what I mean, contact me privately. (I’m not going to go around helping people that have evil intent by giving them ideas.)

Good feature. But what I want to see is features that are akin to Waze. A lot of times roads are closed temporarily. In those cases google maps is not working great. I actually reported a lot of road closures. But it is taking a lot of time to go through approval process. It is a bummer. Waze is too good at things like these.
