Hello Everyone!
I have questions relate to programme or any offer by google team. I’m one of active local guide with so much contribution in many places. so is there any ways that I can be invite or offer to attend event by google or any relate partnership?
Hi @sovanpong
Thanks for asking.
I looked at your contributions and will need to remind you of some guidelines you need to know about if you hope to be invited to Google-sponsored events in the future.
You posted 3 photos of Digital Unviersity of Cambodia. Unfortunately, these 3 photos can be found on this website: https://troryorng.com/188969 This leads me to believe that those photos were not taken by you but downloaded for the internet.
The role of Local Guides is to be honest and leave only authentic contributions that all Maps users can rely on.
You left a review of Parc Naziunal Svizzer with the words: “This is the oldest National Park in the Alps and it’s absolutely worth visiting.” This kind of review could be written by someone who only visited the place virtually and not in real life. Also, the photos you added look like they might not have been taken by you.
Again, please make sure to only review places that you visited and make reviews that reflect your personal experience. Please try to prove you were there in your reviews. General comments are not allowed. Please see my post called 4 Tips on writing better reviews.
Making authentic contributions and not violating copywriting rules is the first step. As we are 150+ million Local Guides the chances for getting a reward or invitation are extremely low.
My motivation is the joy of knowing that I’m helping a lot of people and businesses. Also, making new friends here on Connect can be considered a great perk. I find it very rewarding being a Local Guide.
Hang in there, keep up the good work, and maybe one day it’ll be your turn.
You can learn more about perks by reading: Questions about Local Guides rewards. Also, Why be a local guide? is worth a read.
And finally, make sure Rewards is selected in your email settings found here. And update the location to show your current location.
Cheers
Morten
