Local Guide Program for me, it is LIFE LOG WORK.
I started Local Guide activity since 2018.
Since then, I posted over 300 comments, took over 8000 photos and got over 10 millions web views.
Kochi prefecture, I am living, is south part of Shikoku island in Japan.
Even for a Japanese, Kochi pref. is mysterious place.
So, half of Japanese doesn’t know and visit Kochi.
But, it is known for Shikoku 88 pilgrimage root, many beautiful nature scenes, Heartwarming people living, and of course we have delicious dishes, too.
The reason I started Local Guide activity was a request from an acquaintance who opened new restaurant.
He requested me to display the restaurants information on Google map, and I did it.
Through then, I knew the Local Guide Program. I tried posting restaurants tips, landscape informations, traditional architectures’ memos on Google Map.
There are a lots of attractive places in Kochi pref.
However, even when searching on the Internet, I found that there were many commercial summary articles and that there was too little information to convey the actual situation.
That’s why I continue to work of Local Guide Program as a way to make people around the world aware of what I see and feel.
Local Guide Program is pretty exciting!
These are reasons:
- Easily: It is so easy to write a post what I see, hear, and feel
- Gameplay: Badges are earned as you post more posts, and rank up
-Recordability: I can record my experiences (when, where, what, how) by multiple means (text, photos, videos)
-Usefulness: My record is useful to someone else
-Interactivity: I can get comments and feedback from someone
From now on, I will continue my activities to tell more people what I saw, heard and felt.
