How many of you want to bring Google Maps Maker back again to work!!?
I am from Iraq, and I really face so many difficulties to rename areas , cities, roads in my country. So many mistakes are there.For example, someone named my area (Al-Karma الكرمة) but its real name is (Al-Makrama المكرمة) and this is just one of tens of examples. I have been sending tens of feedback since a long time ago but nothing happened! So if agree with me then please, share this post with other local guides who you know. Hopefully Google listen to their local guides.
I see your discomfort. Unfortunately Map makers was misused, with results that are making a lot of problems in adding places in maps. Wrong use of polygons and categories, just to mention a couple of things.
That layer is closed now, so if you see something wrong, you have to report it through the app, but this is something that you already know
Hi @IbraheemAl-Luaibi I don’t want to disappoint you but Google have stated publicly that Map Maker shall not return. More and more of Map Maker functionality is appearing within the Maps App.
City/Town/Region/Village names come from official sources these days. One of the issues with the freedom of Map Maker was people playing tag changing them and changing them and changing them to suit their own local politics.
