As part of the Let’s empower women-owned businesses on Google Maps challenge started by @Globe_trotter_Ish , I am thrilled to share my experience from EuroMeetup 2024 in Manchester.
Together with other Local Guides I visited Manchester Craft and Design Centre - a vibrant gallery filled with artists’ studios offering contemporary jewellery, ceramics, and art for sale. We had the opportunity to meet local artists, hear their stories, and learn more about their businesses and crafts.
One of the places we visited was Imprints of Earth - a beautiful, women-owned studio that left a lasting impression on me.
The heart and soul behind this studio is Bhaggie, a talented ceramic artist. She shared her moving story with us: after losing her husband, she found comfort and healing through creating ceramics. Working with clay helped her slow down, reconnect with herself, and find joy again. That’s how Imprints of Earth was born.
Today, Bhaggie runs the studio with support from her daughter Shakti, who helps her with the business. Their small studio-shop, right in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter is a beautiful reminder of how creativity can help heal and connect people.
What I loved about Imprints of Earth Ceramics is the variety of styles and modern techniques they use. Each piece is special and made with so much care. These beautiful ceramics make perfect gifts and can easily brighten up any modern home.
Visiting Imprints of Earth Ceramics reminded me of the incredible strength and courage women show through creativity. It’s inspiring to see how women use their talant and creativity to overcome challenges and share their journey with the world. I’m honored to support and share their story on Connect.
That’s really an impressive story, @JaneBurunina .
And I’m very happy to see that the #SupportWomenBusinessWithMaps campaign is progressing so wonderfully.
Thanks for sharing!
