This post is where you ask questions or comment on any one of the specific star videos in the Local Guides 2026 Album of Star Videos or star videos generally. Please do not add them in comments on the album post itself or in any of the previous year’s discussion posts. Such comments added there will be moved to this dedicated 2026 star videos discussion post.
We separate questions and general discussion on star videos from the album post to provide a much better and more enjoyable user experience when viewing the star videos in the album, especially on mobile devices.
Notes:
(a) If you are commenting on a specific Local Guide’s star video in the album, then please also add a link to that star. Adding links to the subject star video helps the reader follow your comments.
(b) If you ever believe that a post you’ve added to the Star Video Album post needs to be deleted then rather than adding a lame comment like “this comment has been moved to the discussion post”, let any Connect Moderator know and it will be moved for you.
(c) For the same reason, do not add comments reserving your place in the album post by simply adding a one liner like “I will upload my star video here soon” or “I’m reserving this place for my star video”. If you’re not yet ready to add your star then please refrain from adding these lame comments in the album post. These will be moved to the discussion post.
Thank you @Rednewt74 and @Kumaarsantosh. Yes aware of it. Just under the pump and ran out of time of this 2-step process. will knock it over now. Thank you again.
@Annaelisa always uses the mobile phone, Alfred. In Android, it is difficult (or impossible?) to paste HTML code. However, I’d suggest to edit it a bit manually, so that the number of views appears in the same line as date and name.
This is, what I remember. However, in addition comes the HTML for the table is quite long and even if HTML is allowed, it would be difficult with the tiny display. If you loose a single character or any tag, the result would be worse than what we see now.
Ich habe die Tabellen kopiert und eingefügt, dadurch ist das Problem entstanden. Spätestens am Monatsende wenn ich alles bearbeite wird die Darstellung wieder richtig sein.
I wanted to ask @nigelfreeney why the Star Video Views History table is listed in the opposite way to others. Is this created manually rather than using the auto-generated table?
Hi @tony_b, Yes I did create it manually. The code is pretty simple. When @AdamGT has the time, and if there is enough interest, he could offer the choice of sort direction. I always prefer to see the newest at the top - otherwise you always have to scroll down to see the latest results.
In an attempt at simplifying the process of adding the star views history tables and avoiding the need for any tricky copying/pasting/editing of HTML, a new Pro feature is now provided that allows you to either convert the table to an image or simply take a screenshot and add it to your post! This should significantly simplify the process on both desktop and mobile. For an example, see my new table here.
As well as simplifying the process, the new star views history table includes more interesting data.
The table also looks better than before and includes the Star Views per Day now, as well as the Deltas per month and day. The latter doesn’t apply for my star photo (and many others too …? ) .
It certainly does simplify the process very much, @AdamGT. Even using a desktop browser, pasting the long HTML code is cumbersome and error-prone. Instead downloading JPG the image file from the T100 and uploading it into the star photo album[1], should be much easier for everybody.
After removing the old HTML code for the table, either use the Upload button or drag and drop it into the edit window ↩︎
Hallo @AdamGT, ich habe die neue Ansicht ins Sternenfoto eingefügt und es sieht gut aus.
Funktioniert das ganze auch für die Video Ansicht?
Ich habe es gerade auch für die Video Ansicht zugefügt
