HTML is the foundation of all Websites - even below of what I called âunderlying platformâ, so it is always there, whenever we use a browser (Chrome, Firefox ⊠etc).
But you are right, the message âinvalid HTML" ist quite nasty and should never appear. I also saw it several times while writing/editing in the old Connect. So far, I didnât see it in the new version yet, but I didnât write much and not very complex comments such as the star photo album.
So lets cross our fingers and also hope, the other issues get fixed.
I really donât understand the enthusiasm, I read in other comments here and even four weeks ago, when the change was announced. For now, I also see only disadvantages ⊠

Hello everyone
I just wanted to provide an update on the links issue. Unfortunately with so much on my plate at the moment, this issue remains unresolved and sadly, you will have to wait until I can get to it. Please wait for an announcement here or on the Top 100 Support Group.
An update 5 hours later: Luckily I found a bit of time to have another go at this and am pleased to say that I think the links issue has now been solved. Please test and let me know.

Hello everyone.
The T100 feature that produced the Star Phot/Video/360 Sphere Views History tables has been unusable since we moved to the new Connect. The reason being is that the new Connect does not handle all the standard HTML previously used to generate these tables. Instead of HTML I tried implementing what the new Connect favors but sadly this failed to generate the tables for everyone and various temporary solutions were suggested but regardless of the approach taken, the outcome was problematic and cumbersome.
Well hereâs some good news. I managed to find a little time today to revisit the Star Views History table feature and I came up with a compromised HTML way of doing it. Iâve tested it and it seems to work for well. For those into the Star Views History tables, give it a run and let me know how you go by comment below.
ps: Add links to your star tables in your comment below

- Have you updated the URL to that star on the T100 System to use the new Connectâs permalink and re-tested (see here), and
- Have you updated the Star Views History table using todayâs updated feature?
Not exactly sure, what you are asking Adam.
On the T100 System was still the old link format https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Local-Guides-2024-Album-of-Star-Photos/m-p/3715315/highlight/true#M1427446 and that was the same link in the âTop 100 Google Maps Local Guides Star Photos (November, 2024)â
I just changed in the T100 system to the new format https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t/local-guides-2024-album-of-star-photos/404568/44?u=wilfriedb.
Not sure, what you mean with âtodayâs updated featureâ.
Done. It wasnât clear to me that we can paste HTML code.
I just noticed, the table shows twice 2024-09-28, but I updated also on 10/28.

Ich habe zwar von den Anweisungen so gut wie nichts verstanden aber was ich dann gemacht habe hat gut funktioniert
Ich habe die Ănderungen mit dem Smartphone vorgenommenâŠ
Im T 100 System kopiert von dort zum Foto/Video gesprungen.
Mit dem Bleistift auf bearbeiten, alte Tabelle raus und neue rein.
FĂŒr mich sieht es gut aus und war einfach.

Yes @WilfriedB the old link format was on the T100 System BUT if you tried to update any of your starâs details as you would at the end of the month, then you would get a warning to also update your star link to the new Connect format. I see that you have updated your star photo link to the new Connect link format. Well done you
Yes with the new HTML generated you can now much more easily and quickly copy and paste the HTML onto your starâs post.
I have corrected the double 2024-09-28 for you. This can only happen if you forget to change the date when updating your star After selecting Submit when updating your data, I always recommend that you check what is shown on the data entry screen to confirm the updated data.

Dear @AdamGT , Yes, done. It is working correctly. Updated the URL on Top 100 and history tables. When I click on T100 links, it directs me to my Star Photo/Video. Thanks so much for all your hard work in fixing this.

Adam, your link to âtodayâs updated featureâ didnât lead me to any instructions.
However, I was able to follow the statement by @Annaelisa and finally got this done. Iâll go do my video history now as well.

It was a bit confusing to me too, Prasad and Tony.
He explained that he updated the code for history which we should copy and paste to replace the history table each month. So, our job to copy and paste.
In addition the link pointing to the star photo album should also be updated to the new format (share it on Connect and paste into the T100 system).
