Hello @WilfriedB , @tony_b , I am sharing here what I have done;

  1. I copied the My Star Photo permalink from Connect, pasted it into My Stars on Top 100, and saved it.
  2. I have also checked when clicking on the My Star photo link on the Top 100, it directs me to My Star photo on Connect.
  3. I copied the Star view history table from Top 100, pasted it into my Star photo on Connect, and saved it.

@tony_b the link incorrect direction is a Connect issue and hence beyond our control. If you look at the link I posted you will see that it specifically points to post #348 and if you scroll slowly up you will see that the scroll bar takes you to the correct post in this topic however, selecting it can go to some random post :sob: As far as I know, this has been happening ever since the move to this new Connect.

Sorry if my messages were confusing @WilfriedB It’s been a long day in front of the screen and keyboard but I think you’ve got things under control.

For the benefit of all, simply stated,

  1. The T100 generated star photo/video/360 sphere HTML should no work correctly on Connect for both desktop and smartphone. Just copy from T100 and paste the generated code into our Connect post. As you will know, for a couple of months now this was a problem on desktop and as @Annaelisa will know, has been a problem on smartphones since day one!

  2. The link to each of your star photo/video/360 sphere posts on Connect which have a different format to those on the old Connect can now be added onto the T100 System. For a couple of months now this was also a problem.

Thanks Prasad. I didn’t do anything with links, but everything appears to be working okay. Maybe I’m still confused. What am I missing?

I’m jumping in here @tony_b, the links refer to the permalinks of your star photo, video and/or 360 sphere here on Connect which have a different format to those on the old Connect. Because of this different link structure, it hasn’t been possible to update star details of a new star on the T100 System since migrating to the new Connect (@YuliiaZa and others discovered this). This issue has now been fixed and as a consequence of the fix, if you now attempt to update any of your stars on the T100 System it will insist that you also update with the new Connect permalink format (described in some detail on the T100 System’s context sensitive help).

Anyhow, I’m pleased to hear that everything is working for you now.

ps: It’s late here now and after a long day in front of the keyboard and screen, I will leave you all to experiment. Also, please note that I will be posting the November video leaderboards in the morning :wink: :wink:

@tony_b could you please check the permalink on Connect and on Top 100 are same. If they’re not, you might miss reaching your Star photo on Connect from Top 100 sometimes.

Note the difference before and after /local-guides-2024-album-of-star-photos/. Whenever you share a link on the new Local Guides Connect, you will automatically get the new format. However, the database of the T100 system still has the old format until you pasted in the new one.

Hello friend @SahebHussain18030 , Please take a landscape screenshot of your most viewed photo, and replace your star photo in edit mode, and also add a caption as done by our friend @Trail_blazer here.

Also, @SahebHussain18030, the photo album post is strictly for photos, that way the Top 100 system bots can appropriately gauge our photos. The comments you’ve added (here & here) are most appropriate on this board we’re talking on now.

Hello friend @SahebHussain18030 , I’ve seen your star photo here, and it looks great! To further improve your star photo, consider making these minor edits;

  1. Remove the names of the Local Guides from the comments.
  2. Add a caption below the photo and
  3. Write a brief details of the photo
