Discovering Authentic Indian Food in the Heart of Tokyo

Whereas we celebrate Ramen Day in India, we crave Indian food in distant lands.

Especially after exploring Japan and its culinary delights for a week, we tried to explore Indian restaurants to check what they offer.

After trying out Ajanta and Nirvanam, we discovered Maharaja by chance.

They had a well-decorated and welcoming storefront.

The front desk too was attractive and laden with features and facilities.

The seating was spacious and comfortable.

The food was steaming hot and delicious.

The service was prompt and the staff was supportive and polite.

They also had a fine wine nicely displayed over a bar.

After leaving with a full stomach and a content heart, with all taste buds satisfied, I gazed at the charming building that housed this amazing Indian Restaurant in the heart of Tokyo and could not take my eyes off for a long time.

The climate now looked perfect for a long walk towards the Imperial Castle of Tokyo.

Thank you for sharing this @TusharSuradkar. Sharing of diversity and food culture really bring communities together! Whenever I visit Kochi, I had ramen from Ogawa japanese cafe.

Wow! Nice :+1:
After our last Ramen Meetup in Pune, I started to discover more Ramen food places, though not get a chance to taste those flavors.

Ogawa seems to be offering simple-looking ramen dishes.

Thank you for sharing. We really enjoy Indian food here. What was your impression of the authenticity of the curry? Some Indian places modify the intensity and flavor of curries to suit the Japanese palate.

@TusharSuradkar after checking my history I found out that I did eat at Maharaja! It is my wife favorite Indian restaurant. I remember the food here being really good. I ate there 7 years ago for dinner.
