Chelsea International Hostel in the Heart of the Big Apple

Finding a budget hostel in the heart of New York is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I was fortunate to find the Chelsea International Hostel, not far from the famous market with a similar name.

I had a great stay here in June 2025 when visiting the Google office.

I was worried about the quality of the space, but it turned out to be great.

I shared the room with another person.

The check-in was smooth, and the desk attendant was helpful.

The only downside is the lack of a lift elevator, which makes reaching the 2nd and 3rd floors a bit challenging, especially with luggage.

The stay was decent. There’s also a common room and kitchen, with fridge, microwave, and basic amenities.

The hostel was incredibly clean for its age.

Thanks to their hard work of both the housekeeping and front desk staff, I had a really positive experience staying there.

:airplane: How To Reach

I took the New York Subway Metro from LaGuardia Airport to reach here.

:shallow_pan_of_food: Where to Eat

Times Square is walking distance from the hostel. Just a couple of blocks away.
I recommend New York’s Famous One Dollar Pizza

  1. San Diego Hostel - On 3rd
  2. Seattle Hostel - Green Tortoise.
  3. Delhi Hostel - Hide in Delhi.
  4. Detroit Hostel - Hostel Detroit.
