To all avid hikers and outdoor lovers, Catalina Island is very well known for many things but what stands out to me is that there is a trail called the trans-cat. Which goes around the entire Islands perimeter, only to hit twin harbors to keep going to the complete other end and back to two. Harbors. I’ve hiked the PCT, John Muir trail, mount Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, pichincha and ruku pinchincha, and of course my favorite place on the planet; the sequoia and kings national park. This is island is uniquely different in the sense of it history, wildlife, landscape, animals, buffalo, the people that ran it but most importantly the experience of going through the entire island is something I can’t explain… If anyone is interested in going prior to the end of summer , you will have the trip of a life time. Might I mention, that there are cliff diving spots, hand gliding, ziplining and so much more. I’m not sure if I posted this in the right area but I’m trying to start a group to do the trail. The photos added were the only ones I could find since the rest were taken by disposable camera, so justice is barely done by just those two photos that I took overlooking the ocean about halfway between Avalon and twin harbors.
Hi @Coastsidewisdom I’ve been on a boat trip to Catalina Island with some friends from Pasadena. It was a good place to visit, although the boat trip wasn’t much since I get sea sick.
When you post here on Connect its advisable to include a photo or two that you’ve made of the place and a link to the place on Maps so we can all see what you’re talking about.

Thank you for your advice, I am not use to this app nor did I know it was a thing for us tour guide review writers… all of my photos were take on a disposable and I had to save all my battery on my iphone .
@Coastsidewisdom happy to see that the issue you had (as described in your previous post) has also lead to you starting to post other things here on Connect.
If you’re new to Connect, this post will probably be a good starting point.
One more thing which is quite important here on the forum: if you want to make sure that another Connect user sees a reply you give, make sure to ‘tag’ them by typing the ‘@’ symbol and then select that user from the list (or start typing the name if there is no list).
Hello @Coastsidewisdom ,
By the way, I’ve noticed that your post has a Spanish language label. Please note that I’ve removed it as your post is written in English.
To learn more about those labels I recommend you to take a look at the following article: How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
