With all rectitude, Google and Google Maps is just one of the best innovations of our times, our forefathers could have just dreamed of. I’ve always been proud being part of Google in every little way I can; one of which is being a Google Local Guide. And being a Local Guide I’ve had quite interesting episodes of being part of this noble program but my most interesting thing I’ve done as a local guide is one time when somebody was stranded late in the night, with no idea of a good decent hotel in a local town named Awendo and posted to ask for assistance. I responded and gave him the guidance he much needed. I remember how grateful he was. I’m still proud of that night till date.
Being a Local Guide and the program as a whole really do mean a lot to me. For me, the program means sharing; sharing being a virtue I hold dear, I’m always eager to share about places I know and visit with the world. It also means adventure; work without play makes Jack a dull boy, so how about we travel and adventure with the help of Google Maps!
