As @LuigiZ mentioned, the Local Guides program is for individuals voluntarily contributing to Google Maps in order to help others to discover and explore the world. That’s why Local Guides can’t earn for their contributions, as per our program rules.

No as per guidelines local guides don’t get paid.
I am a local guide member in Nigeria but I am not been paid for the work I am doing here with the information I pass to Google in Nigeria.

Unfortunatelly Local Guides is a voluntarily program. So you wouldn’t get paid for your works.

No there is no way to earn money from google maps… you can help others by sharing photos and videos and reviews of the respective places… if you help you deserve money but here is no earnings… so enjoy google map and earning related things are all depends on the management of maps…

I am working for more then 6 years and I’m level 8.i am help alot for Google gayde to share right way places roads cities. But in retrun Google until not even give me a certificate or an award or cash.if that kind of work I am do it for other companies thy pay me alot.dont know whts the criteria of Google to not help me even in pandemic I am thinking that Google decently help me but no help until. Why Google not help of thier team in the time of need.tnx
Hello @wahdatkhan , this is a completely voluntary organization. Sometimes you can get gifts, but this is something that is done randomly.

The Local Guides program is a voluntary program and is all about helping each other with our contributions. There are some rewards, given from time to time as a ‘‘thank you’’ from Google for your quality contributions, however, there isn’t a promised reward for participating or reaching a certain level or views. There isn’t payment involved as well. You can read more about rewards in this article. I also recommend that you check this discussion where you will find some of the reasons for being a Local Guide.
