Anti-Plastic spoon-Challenge

I submit my post in taking up the Challenge–Ditch the Plastic Spoon by @KetanChhaniyara . Also this post is to highlight @Tejal Anti plastic spoon Campaign

YES WHY SHOULD WE USE PLASTIC SPOONS when we have beautiful options.

Thr above picture is one of my collections.

I always insist on saying a big NO to plastic. Wherever it is possible I will try to use an alternative. I always carry in my handbag a steel water bottle, a cup and a spoon. Wherever I visit if it happens that the plastic spoons are used, I will use my own spoon. Also I insist on avoiding plastic articles.

During my recent HERITAGE INSPIRED tour the tour organisers avoided the usage of plastic. Food is served either in banana leaf or porcelain plates. During one visit, they arranged a village dish in a leafy bowl with wooden spoons.

My revirew in Google Maps about HERITAGE INSPIRED TOURS

I have written a post of this visit to a Secret Spot and the battlefield

I am happy to say that, recently a great awareness is happening. Many restaurants are not using plastic spoons. Below are some of my restaurants’ pictures.

Below is the link
My picture in Google Maps.

We have grown without using plastic. Those days we used to carry our own containers from to buy oil, milk and other liquid items. Restaurants pack food in leaves. Groceries are packed in paper tied with jute ropes. In our house we use Silver, brass, and stainless steel vessels and pottery made out of clay. Pickles are stored in porcelain or glass containers.

Now the extensive use of plastic is deteriorating our environment. The present generations are very much fascinated to use and throw items. This adds to the piling of waste. This is not good for our Earth.

I request everyone to avoid plastic to the extent possible. SAY NO TO PLASTIC.

Thank you so much, @Gurukrishnapriya, for your heartfelt participation in the #DitchPlasticSpoons challenge! :herb:

That’s such a beautiful spoon, I have ever seen.

It’s inspiring to see how your recent HERITAGE INSPIRED tour embraced eco-friendly practices by serving food in banana leaves and using wooden spoons. Such initiatives not only reduce plastic waste but also reconnect us with traditional, sustainable methods.

Your reflections on past practices, like using silver, brass, and clay utensils, highlight the importance of returning to our roots to protect the environment.

Can you please add the restaurants’ Google Maps Location and its review link? As its a mandatory part of the challenge.

Thank you for sharing these valuable insights and for being a beacon of change. Let’s continue to advocate for a plastic-free world! :globe_showing_europe_africa::green_heart:

Thanks a lot @KetanChhaniyara for your detailed reply. This itself giving me feel of winning the challenge. The restaurant pictures are of 3 different places. I think I have reviewed one or two places.

Also I have shared the link of the tour operators before the village dish and I thought that will be OK.

I have grown seeing the changes @MathanVibranarayan . Though easy to use one time articles, this practice is making the Earth a waste dumping place. This is my concern.
