Amboo Mastani - From Orchards to Customers

Last week, I bumped into the Amboo Mastani House when walking from the metro to a museum in Pune.

Local guides had planned a visit here; especially @AjitThite had suggested it.

Mastani is a milkshake mixed with ice cream, and real fruit or nut toppings added.

This place is housed in a century-old mansion.

Their seating is very basic, and one cannot expect comfort.

The features of a very old building provide some amusement and great vibes.

It is rare to find old-style electrical switches.

:plus: Ambool has also used a copper vessel as their hand wash sink.
How cool is that?

:plus: I also noticed that the mirror is also mango-shaped:smiley:
These people have put their heart into making the experience enjoyable, just like their taste.

:recycling_symbol: Their top feature is the use of biodegradable material for the cups, spoons, and straws.

:mango: The owners of Amboo Mastani in Pune have their orchards in the coastal area called Konkan. Especially their Devgad variety of mango is famous for its rich taste and texture.

They procure the mangoes directly from their orchards and serve fresh Mastani and Ice cream to customers.

Mastani is a great tradition in Pune, and Amboo takes it to the next level by nicely converting an old mansion into a Mastani House :plus: decorating it :plus: providing a great taste that is unmatched.

:automobile: How To Reach

Amboo is reachable by the Pune Metro.
It is almost an equal distance by walking from the Mandai Metro Station or the Deccan Metro Station

By bus, too, the nearest stop that I know would be Deccan or PMC.

This post is in response to the challenges by:

  1. @Rahul001 - Celebrate International Plastic Free Day.
  2. @AjitThite - Dil se Local - Supporting Local Businesses.
  3. @Amitsharma007 - Authentic Food - RealRoots Challenge.

Next time.

It’s amazing how the owners have repurposed and yet maintained the old charm of the building. We hardly get to see such switches and the mirror design hits the spot for mango lovers. I have heard so much about Mastani in Pune through your posts that it’s a must try for me and included in my bucket list. Thank you for sharing another gem of a place @TusharSuradkar
