A soft introduction to Asia for western voyageurs: Thailand

Hi hi dear community!

French citizen leaving in Germany and married to a Hungarian guy, I / we spend most of our free time travelling across Europe. Several reasons to that: we want to see our families and friends, we do not have unlimited budget and there are plenty of things to see in Europe already. But as we were planing our honeymoon, I realized there was another reason for us leaving the European continent only once so far: the reluctance of my husband to travel to exotic places.

For this very special trip I was craving for a more exotic destination and therefore started so researches on the best exotic/but not too much destination. After checking numerous of blogs, talking to my friends traveling the most, I decided for Thailand and could convince my husband to give it a try.

It may seem a trivial destination for most of the big travelers in this community, but for us it was a big step towards new horizons.

So for those not feeling yet ready for an adventure far to our western civilization but still eager to challenge yourselve I would definitely recommend Thailand. The infrastructures are great to cross the country and have a comfortable stay at a cheap price, the food is amazing, Thai people extremely friendly and the cultural choc not too hard compared to some neighboring countries.

So don’t be shy and give Thailand a try!
