A Gem of a Tea Shop - New Discovery in my Neighbourhood

When tea is on your mind, you see it everywhere :star_struck:
I can literally smell it from far away whenever a new tea shop opens in my neighbourhood.

Yesterday, I discovered Tealogy, barely 500 meters from my residence in Pune.

Their tagline is ‘Yaar Mera Kulhad’ and they actually served tea in Kulhads, which is rare in Pune.

The interiors were supercool and it is an air conditioned cafe.

The seating arrangement was comfortable with cushioned sofas and chairs.

Although their service was quick and prompt, the cafe provided free books for reading while the tea and snacks were prepared.

Here is their unbelievable menu.
Chai for INR 20 and most snack items were under INR 100 :star_struck:

Their dedication to sustainability was unmatched:

:recycling_symbol: Mud Kulhads.
:recycling_symbol: Paper straws.
:recycling_symbol: Wooden spoons.
:recycling_symbol: Wooden stirrers.
:recycling_symbol: Digital payments.

This is a gem of a tea shop on Pashan-Baner Link Road. The tea was excellent quality, and the service level was the best :+1:The rates are reasonable and they also serve snacks like sandwiches :sandwich: and burgers :hamburger:

There is no dedicated parking, but plenty roadside parking is available :automobile:

I went there with my friend and had an amazing Chai pe Charcha

Tealogy,
This is a very technical name!
It has a fantastic meaning in both English and Urdu/Hindi. ‘Tealogy’ sounds like biology or zoology, but if you look at it from an Urdu/Hindi perspective, it sounds like ‘Tea Lo Jee’ (Here, have some tea).

The interior is spectacular; I’m sure their tea will be amazing too!
Thanks for sharing @TusharSuradkar Bhai

Ah…

Yes, once you read Tea lo jee, we cannot unsee it .. super @KashifMisidia bahi :hugs:

I will talk to the owner tomorrow if he means the same :winking_face_with_tongue:

Yes, forgot to write about their tea in the post - it was amazing too.
It was the best part.
Otherwise, if the tea is not good, the interiors do not matter.

@TusharSuradkar . Pricing is very economical which i am sure would make them poular. Khullad is not a sustainable option and is in fact non biodegradable

Hi @TusharSuradkar,
What an amazing discovery!

I really love how you highlighted their dedication to sustainability.
Serving tea in traditional mud Kulhads, along with paper straws and wooden spoons, is fantastic for the environment.
The interior looks incredibly cozy and welcoming.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful gem in Pune, the menu prices look unbelievable too!

Thank you @curatorofmemory for the remark about kulhad being non-biodegradable.
We have dicussed this once recently.
But is not being bio-degradable a great criteria?
Does it harm the environment just because it is not biodegradable?
that should be more important IMO :+1:

Thank you for the appreciation @AnubhaBangia :+1:
When you go out for tea the next time, solo or with friends, do remember to invite everyone online via Chai pe Charcha - I will share you the details :+1:

@TusharSuradkar . It is actually as bad an option as coated paper cups. In my post on Khullad i had highlighted this. The process of making it is also not environment friendly. Also generally the most fertile layer of top soil which takes millions of years to form is used to make them which is not sustainable. Their disposal is another headache

@TusharSuradkar Sir, that sounds exciting to me! Sure Sir. I will! I have added places to my list, let’s see when things happen! Finger Crossed!

It sounds like the perfect place to unwind with a friend. The combination of comfortable seating, great prices, and eco-friendly practices makes this place a winner.
Thanks for story @TusharSuradkar
