Hi, my idea is that under the Topic "Local" please show only Contributions from the home Region based on the place of resicdence - then it is like the missing discussion Topic "Language"

for me local means near my home

at the moment it is not possible give an support because i don't find the questions from the Local Guides near by

Please try searching the community for mentions of your those countries to find posts that have that name in the title, body of the post, or the location tag. Feel free to jump into these conversations, engage with the Local Guides near you, and plan to meet-up.

Love the new Connect site! But in the old Connect, you used to be able to toggle the posts on your "home" screen to show you posts from your Location. It would pull posts that were tagged with your location when users would post content. For example, I live in Miami - therefore, it would show posts that had their locations tagged as "Miami."

I found this helpful in terms of finding posts from other Local Guides in my area or even from Local Guides who were going to visit my city and maybe needed advice. Would it be possible to add a section in the navigation, maybe called "Near You," that would surface posts tagged from your city?

I'm interested in local stories, but apparently "local" in local stories doesn't mean "local". Posts are from around the world. There should be a way to localize local stories. Provide a way to filter local stories to a specific area - such as country, state, zip code, "near me" (based on GPS), et al.  This would also fulfill others' request for locating other local guides in their immediate area.

For example, I live in the northeast of the US. I want to read local stories in my area, or I may want to search for local guides near me to meet or work with.

I just arrived yesterday and I cannot see who are the Local Guides in my area (St-Jerome, Quebec' Canada). I think it would help to know who is doing what in what area. We could also help each other.

• Update location based services such as local stories. Even under local stories it seems to think I'm on the other side of the world. Also it would be a helpful option to be able to post to a message board and target your local area with the message so maybe an option to choose who a post or story targets using location services or the input of a zip code or typed out city and state

The response by @FelipePK is very impractical. Besides the fact that the search engine of Connect is rather weak, the assumption that predictable keywords would be used by people posting from a certain area is simply wrong.

The area where I live I would need to search for at least 20 keywords to be absolutely sure that no other Local Guide from my area would have posted something on Connect recently.

Hola @Jessefyc, no sé si comprendo bien la idea, tú sugerencia sería contar con un filtro por países de los distintos post en Connect ?, podrías agregar una imagen de donde colocarías esta nueva funcionalidad y comentarnos como sugieres realizarlo 🙂, gracias.

For the case that has difficulty, in reading my answer, in the upper right part of the screen, in the drop-down menu of languages, you can select the language, in which you want to read the post.

I really enjoy the community but I, too, find it very difficult to find posts around where I'm currently located (travel fulltime in an RV). I would love to see Food/Drink posted in the region that I'm in. I have found many posts from folks request this feature. I've seen a hack to do a search based on searching but that only works for very specific cities and not a region. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider this feature to be able to filter posts by location/region within a specified mileage. Thanks in advance!
