The Review Points System

Hello Local Guides Team and All Fellow Local Guides 

I have an idea for a new review points system .

- rating of place got one point and if you write good or nice or any word you take 10 points !!!!

this one word comment exactly as your rating of the poi so ,,,,,,,, we have to make a new way to push local guides to do their best .

but if we restrict that the review must not less than 50 character , we will see a true reviews .

so my suggestion is :

1 - rating = one point 

2- review more than 50 character = 10 points

3- review more than 100 character = extra 5 points 

- the one who write a review less than 50 character , he is nearly rate the poi so it not deserve a review points ( only 1 point  ) .

- the one who write a short review more than 50 character , he will gain the 10 points for his review plus the one point for rating the poi ( only 11 points ) .

- the one who write a detailed review with more than 100 character , he will gain extra 5 points plus 10 points of the review and the one point for rating ( only 16 points ) .

as you see 50 character is suitable for a short review and 100 character is suitable for detailed review 

- this will encourage LG to write a real review and decrease the general information that being written to gain additional 10 points . 

- please give your opinions and thought freely to reach a perfect conclusion .

good..

but i think 50 words may be a bit higher, maybe 10-12 words should be enough. Because iof people write a sentence it will be clear whether they are writing a fake review or not.

I agree that reviews with less than 50 characters should not be rewarded. It would change the game for point hunters and hopefully improve the quality of reviews on Google Maps.

Instead of changing the actual point system. I think the 200 character reviews should still get the extra 10 points. It is way more difficult to write a in-depth review.

Simply skip the points for the very short reviews and give the 50-199 reviews 5 points.

I'm also agree dear @NABILazeez , great detailed idea.

This will decrease bulk reviews without using the resources like AI engines. But also +10 points for more than 200 characters reviews should be remained. I like it 😄

Dear @NABILazeez , I like the idea that we need to revisit the reviews' point system since we can see a lot of mess due to users are looking to gain the most possible points only!

But while I agree that number of characters is important but still we have a number of reviewers whom are copying whatever text from Internet and paste it in the review and passing the 200 characters, to gain more points!

So my suggestions that if system can defect the copycat text and highlight as a spam, or we can have a rating system for reviews for local guiders, so lower scores can be highlighted....

But again I like the idea to enhance the way we reward for reviews.
