Reconnect pictures to a place

For some unknown reasons I got a bunch of pictures uploaded to google maps that are no more connected to any place, they are also not associated with a position on the map, it just says "unknown location/place"
Would be nice if it would be possible to get the pictures without a location add to an according spot, as for most of them there is an existing place.

thanks for putting light into reasons why there are pictures without a place.

But whatever the reason it is, I ask for an option to reconnect these pictures to an existing place.

As the topic you linked initially describes it is about photos that were there with a connection to a place and the same ones also without a place - thus is not the case with any of the pictures I've uploaded. But an reply on the linked topic also tells that a place might be deleted, this is true for about one or two pictures in my case, but there are still some more without a connection to a place where the place they were connected to still is available on maps.

I ask for an option to reconnect these pictures to an existing place, as there are more and more pictures without a connection to a place and there still is an place that match those pictures.
