Promoting the guides to Next Level

Local guides around the world are doing a great job, They are not just updating the data, but they are planning well, Trying to share only relevant, to the point details for making Google Maps more convenient for the user.  The targets of reaching the top of the level seem high but it is achievable. 

It is very encouraging when a local guide receives word of praise from Google, We have a group of local guides who share their achievements proudly. Here my small suggestion is that One should get some additional points after achieving a milestone like after winning a badge, Or after every 1million views of the photo, one should be rewarded with some extra points so he/She can achieve next level faster.

It's entirely up to Google team to decide how to distribute points on every milestone, But it will definitely bring more smiles on the face of local guides.

Encourage guides to visit places with little to no reviews by giving bonus points. It is a great way to level up and see the local area, while helping the community discover what's around them through Google.

Yes ! I think 95 percentage of people don't have any idea about local guides. Even my room mates also don't have.. So we can start more awareness campaigns and start giving some goodies who participated in the campaign may achieve more productivity..

My motto is to achieve more data in less time.

Local Guides program is a relatively newer review platform compared to others, so what it needed was quantity, more places, more reviews, more photos, and more questions answered. The program is designed to reward local guides with points for their contribution, and local guides can get to the next level (profile status) based on their points, which can unlock some perks. The gamification certainly works. 

After five years of quantity, Google Local Guides needs to up the game in quality. How? The data is already there. 

Promote local guides who consistently write detailed reviews.

Promote local guides who have more views per photo on average.

Promote local guides who have more likes per review on average. 

Promote local guides who shared great ideas to make the program better.

Google Local Guides should not be just another review platform, it should be a trusted platform to help people find things worth doing.
