Map for upcoming local meet-ups

When a new meet-up is organized it has to specify the meeting point and the date of the meeting, which means Google Maps has all the data it needs to make this information more easily accessible.

Currently upcoming meetings are being shown chronologically which is not relevant to guides around the world. It may be nice to know that there are lots of meetings happening all the time, but a meeting 2,000 miles from me is not something I can contribute to.

We would need the possibility to search for meetings on a dynamic map: there should be a control to specify how far in time you want to search (0-90 days, or specific date range) and then the user should be able to move the map to find the various upcoming meetings.

That way it would be easy to find what's going on around and to participate in more gatherings.

For what I suggest on my idea ,as all google event should up on map screen .with all google event as an update.this will make easy for all google local guide member or in other google member see update of is event belong to.see the update through the map.including different country meet up.it will showing on a map.because nor all local guides as the advantage to go through the email to get the update  od the event.when it show up on a map. It will easy to see the update.show the sample as this.this my comment if it go for vote.

"we did not manage to implement it in time" Is the world coming to an end and the local guides system stopping forever? This is a feature that would be useful until the end of times if the local guides meeting together was something that mattered to Google Maps.
It would be more honest to say "Google Maps has decided not provide this feature".

I'm understanding less and less what's going on Google Maps' side.
